Unexpected Glitchy Column behavior

I have four columns in this section of my project, and I want it set up so when you’re in a tablet portrait mode, it shows 2 columns of two instead of 4 columns of one. However, when I set this up, the bottom right dog is weirdly offset with no explanation, and to make things even more weird and glitchy, hovering over the top right dog makes the whole screen flicker wildly.

The flickering was caused by my hover state making the object smaller, but the unexplained placement of the lower left image still is confusing me.
