Vertical page title - fixed positioning

Hi again all,

Another question relating to layout, I hope someone can help.

I am trying to position my main vertical page title (see class .main-heading in my share link) at a fixed position on each page, but I’ve noticed with identical settings, the position changes based on the amount of characters the heading has. Is there any way I can anchor .main-heading from the left so that as it grows, it stays in the same position?

For reference - this is what I want to achieve:

This is what I get when the word length is shorter:

I’ve tried nesting it within its own div. I’ve also tried absolute positioning as opposed to fixed. Any ideas?

Hopefully this will solve your problem. I made a video so I can show you what’s going on.

Did that solve your problem?

Hi Noah,

Thanks for the effort! I will have a look at the video later this afternoon once I finish up with my day job haha. Very much appreciated!

No problem! Sounds good!

Mate, this is perfect. Thank you so much for putting the time into that video, you explained it perfectly and now I am 100% confident with working with vertical text. I never thought of wrapping it that much - I tried wrapping it in one div, but not a second.

Thanks again Noah
