W3C failure role="navigation"

Hi

Probably not a bug, but wasn't sure which was the correct category. I've just been correcting any html issues using the w3C validator at https://validator.w3.org. It's picking up on a line which starts:

Seems like backwards compatibility, no harm in leaving it in, unless your OCD compels you too.
Twitter bootstrap uses it

Thanks for the info Aidz. Seems to be a lot of it about. Although non Webflow code, I'm currently fighting with scrolling="no" frameborder="0" within an iframe. W3C say no and to use style="overflow:hidden;" however even Chrome completely ignores this. At least the Validator no longer ranks as fail or pass so I guess I can ignore the OCDs!

cheers

I tend to stay away from validators...having had some inconsistent and downright wrong reviews.

'overflow: hidden' sounds right. Perhaps play around with the 'position' or 'display' attribute

Webflow if anything has prevented me from nesting the wrong controls in my site and other things I shouldn't be doing. You can trust this tool!
