Weird Font thickness until inspected

I'm seeing a weird font issue on the published version of the site where on load, all the fonts are slightly thicker than they should be (in chrome, seems OK in Safari), but when I pull up Inspector they slim down. I can see them adjusting right before my eyes! It's so bizarre...

I've tried removing ALL my custom CSS and it doesn't make a difference.

Anyone got any ideas what it could be?

Don't worry - turns out it's a text rendering bug inherent to webkit based browsers that's caused by CSS transitions. - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12502234/how-to-prevent-webkit-text-rendering-change-during-css-transition?rq=1
