Why use a CNAME for www alias?

Hi,

I’ve just switched the DNS entries on my first webflow client site. Very excited. A records pointed and good to go.

I had a few newbie questions, wondered if somebody could enlighten me.

I’ve chosen the URL domain.co.uk as default (no www), are there any pros and cons for choosing one over the other. Does it matter?

Why a CNAME for the www alias?

And does it matter which order you input the webflow IP addresses into the A Records?

Currently pacing the office like an expectant father.

Thanks in advance.

Great questions

It doesn’t matter. It’s personal preference.

That is a sub-domain. You need that.

no it doesn’t

Hope this helps
