I think the keyphrase is mission critical.
Everyone wants and needs their website to be up and running
- but (imo) most people don’t “really need” - “mission critical availability”.
I’ve got a client who screams up and down that she needs her website to up and running 26 / 8 / 375…
- but when I send her an email… it takes her 2 weeks to respond.
From what I’ve seen…
- I’ve been watching this thread with interest… and have cringed a couple times…
But historically… (again imo) Webflow’s uptime has been pretty decent
- but since I self-host (and since I’m a linux admin to boot)…
- Webflow’s server availability doesn’t affect me.
I only use the Designers. Beyond that…
- I actually pay a server mgt company to cover my a$$ when I need help.
As for Rackspace… I used them several years ago. Then they sold out and service went downhill.
UK2 Group provides decent (base-bone) servers. All my servers (8 in total) are through them.
If you need a good server mgt company… I can recommend Platinum Server Mgt.
Been with them for probably 10 years.
(As stated above) I manage my own servers… but when needed - they always pulled through.
I use them primary for monthly server checks / hardening / general things like that.
It’s $39 a month - $19 each additional.
