Webflow Search and Accents on Characters

Hi everyone, is there a way for Webflow’s wonderful site search to also handle accented characters?

Currently, if a word has an accent, the search will only find it if you type out the accented word. If you miss the accent, you get no results.

This is terrible since a lot of users skip using accents for search, due to either speed or bad grammar.

For example
This search for lamp in spanish

Does Webflow support this, or is there a way to enable it?

This is basically an extension of Fuzzy Matching and Partial Matches

Interested in this too. Might be very useful for tonal languages like Chinese if you just similar system as pinyin.

How Webflow’s site search performs matching isn’t configurable.

Your best strategy is to ensure that the non-accented version exists in your content as well on pages where this is important.

For example you might have an unaccented keyword list as a CMS field and then bind it to a hidden field in the page.
